Stabilized Binoculars
Good for the Blair Witch Project, the intense movement of the camera worked well for the movie. But generally, who wants to look at images that are shaky? And if objects are merely magnified, movements do not complement the view at all. Stabilized binoculars solve the problem of people with shaky hands. Some people who have been out bird or astronomy watching may be too tired to get a good, hard grip on their binoculars, thus creating image shifts. The binoculars that have higher power may be able to bring the subjects nearer but the overall performance is not so great if the images are affected with the slightest hand movements. The emergence of the stabilized binoculars addresses this problem. These instruments possess a certain mechanism that reduces the apparent movement of the image caused by the motion of the binocular. There are three various types of stabilized binoculars in the market. The gyro-stabilized binoculars are under the passive system of mechanism. The images are kept stable with the use of a built-in gyroscope which works to control the prism platform's position. This type of stabilized binoculars offers outstanding resistance to jarring but its motor would require external power such as that from batteries. Furthermore, such binoculars are not light weight and are less compact than others. The Vary-Angle Prismatic Stabilizer belongs to the active system of mechanism. This type of stabilized binoculars makes use of microprocessor-controlled prisms. These binoculars contain sensors that send signals to the microprocessors. The automatic response then works on stabilizing the images, but would need batteries to function. These stabilized binoculars are high-powered, are capable of providing defense from panning and shaking and are lighter than the first type. The Cardanic Suspension type of stabilized binoculars includes a prism system that is mechanically suspended. These binoculars are the perfect source of protection against shaking. Moreover, they do not need batteries and their weights are like those of the vary-angle type. You don't have to worry if you've been drinking too much coffee and it's been making you edgy. With the stabilized binoculars, you can have all the cups you want. |
